Bodywork for Equine can mean different things to different people and that is because there are different methods around. Some may think it’s just a massage, but, depending on the method, it can be much much more! We are using a method that is interactive with the horse.
To explain bodywork:
It targets two goals at the same time. The first goal is to relieve any form of tension in the core muscles, nervous system as well as in the joints, which all can affect the horse's performance. The second goal is to increase the comfort and well-being for the horse overall. With that in mind, it will help bring a better relationship with their human partner.
Often behavior problems are actually pain responses in horses. Horses are masters in hiding problems and compensating for pain. Even though the horse owners don't think anything is wrong with their horse, they will see a noticeable difference after our bodywork sessions! If your horse acts up under saddle, or feels off when walking or trotting, or even if you feel the horse is struggling in any way, then give us a try. It really can make a big difference in your horse.
We are now Masterson Certified (MMCP).
